GGC 76 HILLY HAALAN MAINSTORE

One of our friends sent me a note card telling me that Hilly Haalan had new Group gifts available, The Katie Dress and the Debbie T Dress so i thought i would go and have a look.

 They all seem to like her store and her textures are really well done. 

 It looks like she has new gifts on a very regular basis which is very good for a free to join store. 

This is a good example of Group gifts that make you want to go back again and again. They give a really good hud choice with their gifts , not just one colour.

This dress is mesh only. It is not made specifically for the popular mesh bodys.

Normally Judie can wear a medium size but even with her slimmest leg shape on i still had to use the XL so that the skirt didn't beak at the hem when she moved and i would have had to make her boobs much bigger to fit the top of the dress better. You can see that Bo had the same problem even after wearing the biggest size.

As you can see from the pictures below, this dress is a great example of a problem that we all have from time to time. These days we are nearly all using mesh bodies and this dress is sheer so it is impossible to use alphas.

It is also impossible to get it to fit unless you change your body shape which a lot of us do not like to do.

 It's possible to change your shape to fit outfits , but some of us have a shape we feel is our own personality and more real to our RL shape and we don't want to change our shape just to fit an outfit. It feels like it's not us.

All of us had problems fitting in this one particular dress so i thought id'e use it as an example.

I did change Judies body shape just to show you that i could get it to fit, but i do not like her having huge boobs which is what she needed to fill the gap in the front of this dress. I also used Izzie's nipple tattoos to cover up the 'bits' i didn't want on show.

For any new residents who don't know, you can make a new body shape and give it a name so that when you wear that outfit again you just wear the correct body shape that you made for that particular dress and then go back to wearing your regular body shape when you change next time.

 Bo has been talking about this store as she is a fan of Petite Mort and mentioned the new layout of Petite Mort on one side and Oubliette on the other.

Deirdre Commented:I really LOVE the sim and shops. Great gifts also in the lucky boards and a friendly shop owner. 

I was there for one hour and later with Vicky half hour and won all gifts!

Judie won the skirt and the top on the lucky board and she keeps hoping to win the top on the first lucky board. Its such a lovely shape.

Re-vamping the Group Gift Challenge(Back to basics)

After doing  many GG's  we found we had strayed from the original reason for doing them.

The point of the GGC was to showcase the good GG's and the bad GG's.

SO, each week we will go back to the original concept and just have 1 or 2 gifts, and do our best to make a good outfit from it. 

We all have different bodies and shapes and it will really show if the store is offering a gift that makes you want to go back to the store and buy more, or if it will make even a noob run screaming.
